Life & Work with Cindy Napoleoni

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Napoleoni.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Back in 2016, I was diagnosed with digestive issues, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety (PPD&PPA). I had just given birth and wasn’t given many alternatives to the standard treatment of these ailments by my doctors. I felt like I wasn’t being heard by my doctors so I started doing tons of research on ways to heal my body holistically.

I visited a doctor who validated my need to heal holistically and helped me get down to the bottom of my digestive issues. That doctor opened my eyes to a whole new world of healing, he told me to let food be my medicine and I have ever since.

I started making herbal tea blends and smoke blends to help manage all of my health issues and slowly but surely started seeing results. My PPD&PPA was the first to start feeling more manageable and as time went on my digestive issues and PCOS were under control too.

I started making tea blends and smoke blends for my friends and family in 2019 and saw that I wasn’t a loca and the herbs actually helped!

In April 2021, I decided to open Little Eye Botanicals to share what has helped me heal and grow as a person with my community. I wanted to give my community an accessible way to heal without the worry of affordability.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My greatest obstacle over the last eight months has been overcoming imposter syndrome, like many other first-time business owners, I’ve struggled with self-doubt and limiting thoughts. “Am I doing this right?” “What if nobody likes what I have to offer?” etc… It was easy for me to dwell in those thoughts until I started receiving feedback from the wonderful people who believed in me enough to try my products. I have developed amazing relationships with such incredible souls over the past eight months and it is their encouragement to keep going that has helped me push through.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve worn many, many hats in my professional life mostly revolving around administrative work. However, if daydreamer was a paying occupation, I would be a multimillionaire right now! Growing up, you’re only really taught to find a good job that pays you a living wage (or more) and not what you’re are completely and utterly passionate about. It took me 29 long years to figure out what I am truly passionate about, herbs! I know, sounds pretty boring but once you truly understand what herbs can do for you, it becomes the most fascinating thing ever!

I am not in this business for the accolades or the money, I am here to truly and genuinely make a difference in someone’s life. Even if I just reach three people, I’d be content. And I think that is what sets me apart from the rest.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the constant support of my partner Hector, and children who are my biggest fans. My older sister Christine who constantly reminds me that I am doing a great job juggling everything. My sister-in-law Samantha who has always helped hype me up and was my first customer. My customer turned friend Diana who is my first repeat customer. My friend Megan who has incorporated my teas into her everyday routine. And all of the other wonderful humans who have helped me grow my business.
