Daily Inspiration: Meet Dj Maddie Iceee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dj Maddie Iceee.

Dj Maddie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From Orlando, FL. Growing up, I always had a love for music, I always watched 106 and Park and TRL and rap city, my love for music got stronger in high school because I would run into a lot of the rappers who were popping at the time. When DJ Khaled became popular on Snapchat, I just decided that I wanted to be a DJ and plus, I was trying to get with this girl. I was working at FunSpot at the time and I met a DJ out there named DJ Mkm and he taught me everything and after that a couple of months in, I linked with Africa black and the rest was history.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes and no, it’s been Djs I knew for years that didn’t even throw me an alley hoop or try to put me in position and I felt like they were showing more love to others than the kid they knew their whole life. And once I got on the scene, I became competition myself and Africa black because we were moving as a team he put me on gigs I put him on gigs. It’s been Dj’s who have been doing the same thing since I was in high school and my name is coming up in those conversations as a top dj.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I won’t just limit myself to just being a DJ; I do a lot of other things outside of just playing records. 2022, I’ll start dropping records. I want to be able to get to sign an artist and walk them into a label, and also I deal with so much I decided I’m a go back to school and finish up my education but in 2022, I’m a beef up everything from promoting myself as a DJ and an artist.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My gift of talking to people and not caring about what others think, and I also take gambles on opportunity one thing I learned about being in the Dj game every payment is finical.
