Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheyla Marrero and her family.
Hi Marrero’s family, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Last year in the middle of the pandemic, we helped my sister and her husband open their business in Miami. On a visit to Lakeland, we absolutely fell in love with it and its people. Upon moving, it was a no brainer that we wanted to bring these delicious healthier options with us, after a couple of months of searching with no luck, we found this location in beautiful south Lakeland and planning to open a second location soon.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the middle of moving and construction, my mom contracted covid and unfortunately passed away due to complications from it. It was the hardest moment of our lives and made opening more difficult.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
A healthy twist on the coffee shop/juice bar with a menu specializing in protein-enhanced shakes, refreshers, acai bowls, waffles, and donuts with a focus on guilt-free, healthy shakes.
How do you define success?
Seeing happy clients, having them come back telling us how they have more energy after one of our tea’s and how much they love our menu.
