Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Rowe.
Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Having an artistic background, becoming a hairstylist was very natural for me, but I think it was interacting with people and making them feel their best self that really made me fall in love with the industry. I grew up around business owners that always showed me it was to not only doing your craft well, but making people feel great that will bring you success. That being said, becoming a salon owner had always been a long-term goal of mine. I wanted to create an upscale home for hairstylists and guests to have fun and leave feeling amazing. Obviously being a small business owner is a risk and a lot of work, so it took me 15 years in the industry to finally have the confidence to go for it. That and the help of my super talented business partner, Angel Cardona. After working next to him at our previous salon and making sure our goals were aligned, we created A CoLab or Artist Collaborative, a space where stylists work together to build each other up to grow as artists and people.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course everything costs more than you think the first year, but overall we have been SO lucky. Our team is amazing!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love lived in, dimensional balayages, extensions and all haircuts from long to short. I make my consultations a top priority to make sure my client and I have the same goal in mind and how I will achieve their desired look.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Being an Ohio native, probably escaping the cold and vacationing in Florida with lots of sun and fishing with my family.

Jessica is an amazing stylist. She truly listens and delivers. It’s funny how she named her salon a colab. I truly feel that’s my experience with her, a collaboration of my ideas and her professional opinion. Needless to say I leave with the best version of my hair. Jessica will make your hair dreams come true and you won’t regret walking into her salon. Thank you for being such a reliable hair Pilar in this community, the world needs more Jessica’s.
