Hi Alicia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started doing makeup on myself when I was in High School about 2014-2015. Eventually, I started seeing others start to make a career of it (which was very rare at the time). I tried my first makeup on my sister-in-law Christmas of 2015. Lol let’s just say it’s the heart that counted. 😂 Even though the skills weren’t there as yet, the more I grew and started booking clients I fell in love with how women were astonished by their beauty with a little help from makeup! Truth be told I saw myself in them! I had a hard time embracing my beauty so the fact that I could offer that glimpse of hope and self-love made me fall in love every time I was able to get my hands dirty.
To keep it simple, I’ve gotten here by perseverance and consistency. There were many times in my journey as a makeup artist that I was confident in my skills and let the demon comparison step in. It stopped me from time to time but every single time I stopped and started back up my skills and love for the craft increased and I couldn’t bring myself to give up on myself. So I kept going, even though nursing school, o was a part time MUA. Most people knew that Nursing was my backup plan but Makeup Artistry was my passion. Am I where I want to be currently, no. But that’s not going to stop me from instilling a bit of confidence and joy every time I put my brushes into my work.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Some struggles over the past 5 and 1/2 years were balancing my schedule with school, being confident in myself, and of course, recently COVID.

BrideTribeMiami is a service-based business which provides Bridal Beauty Services to the Metropolitan area of Miami, FL. We specialize in Bridal Parties but are not limited to them! What sets us apart from others is our attention to detail and basis of providing top-tier service to our clients filled with love and integrity. I’m most proud of the connection that are built with our brides! We go above and beyond clients. We do more than just Makeup, we offer support, relaxation and a helping hand throughout our time together to ensure the parties involved feel completely stress-free and taken care of on their big day!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very outgoing, loved to make people laugh and loved to dance! Still do! My interests were completely different! Fun fact before finding makeup I wanted to be a surgeon. 😂 I guess I kind of still do “surgery” but with foundation and concealers.
