Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Winfrey.
Hi Mario, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey begins with my time in the entertainment industry. I’ve been blessed to work as a print model, and runway model walking in major fashion weeks. I have also been fortunate to work as an actor in commercials and film.
My time in the entertainment industry is what sparked my motivation to be in the best possible shape physically, mentally, and spiritually. That desire to be in top condition ultimately cemented my passion for health and fitness.
In 2017, I lost my dear cousin Darius to cancer. He was just 27 years old, but so accomplished in so many ways. One of the many things I admired about him was his passion and effort towards giving back to his community. After Darius gained his angel wings, I was wondering what I could do to honor him, and how I could impact my community.
It was in that moment that I decided to expand my knowledge in the health and fitness realm, and ultimately earn my certification for personal training.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not a smooth road, but the lessons and experience gained has made it a great one traveled. Some of my early challenges were time management, client accountability, streamlining my program offerings, and developing fitness plans for those with physical limitations.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a certified personal trainer who has helped clients lose weight, manage weight, and strengthen their bodies the healthy way.
I approach health and fitness from a holistic perspective, and I’m known for my ability to educate my clients throughout their fitness journey. I’m most proud of being able to make a difference in the lives of my clients. The feeling of reaching their goals not only positively impacts them, but it impacts the lives of their loved ones, and me as their trainer.
I make sure that I’m accessible on “off days”, and take the time to educate my clients on both the exercise and the nutrition component which is most important.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I only see the POSSIBLE in the word impossible.
