Check Out Olurotimi Alalade’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olurotimi Alalade. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Fountain Pharmacy began operation on October 9th, 2017 as a retail independent pharmacy.

It was started to meet the pharmaceutical needs in Oviedo and its surrounding cities. The city of Oviedo has been growing beyond expectation in recent years attracting people from all over the country as far as California. While the growth is happening quickly, access to personal pharmaceutical care is not growing at the same pace, hence the need to fill in the open gap.

Fountain pharmacy has been growing since the years it has begun operation.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth operation. Branding a pharmacy name to the community has involved a lot of costs which can take a toll on a new business. Competition from chain pharmacies that control/partner with the insurance companies has been a major issue as well.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Olurotimi (Timi) received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry in 1992 and his Pre-Pharmacy studies from Broward College (2007), Davie FL. After graduation, he attended Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy, Davie FL where he graduated with a Pharm.D. in 2011.

He then found a position with a retail chain pharmacy where he worked until moving into a position in the hospital system. Timi has extensive knowledge in pharmaceutical care and he is a seasoned Pharmacist.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Good luck with adequate preparation has opened a lot of doors for networking and growth for fountain pharmacy. When people like and can trust you, they go all the way to make you meet those that can be of immense value to you even when they will ordinarily not want to do so.
