Meet Clinton Ferreira of Bay Coast Restoration

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clinton Ferreira.

Hi Clinton, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was in the medical field in pharmacy for many years as a compounding technician. Still, my father always had investment real estate, so construction and remodeling were always a part of my life. At one point, an amazing opportunity came up for me to travel to Texas and help people during hurricane Harvey where I was subcontracted to help with mold remediations and water damage from the hurricane.

The joy I got from helping people and how clean everything must be made sense from my days in the medical field. After that, I decided to work full time for a restoration company to learn the business while the whole time my vision was to open my own restoration company to be able to help people remove mold from their homes with the highest level of customer service, which I noticed was lacking in the industry.

February 19, 2019, I opened Bay Coast Restoration and have been servicing the gulf coast and Tampa Bay area ever since. I am IICRC certified in water damage restoration, fire and smoke restoration, and Odor removal and control. I am also licensed in Florida as a mold remediator and mold assessor of the FL DBPR.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest obstacles is the big franchises have the budget to get more exposure out in the communities however once our name started to grow and people gave us honest reviews online, our exposure grew, and we were able to help a lot more customers.

Also finding good quality technicians that meet our standards and codes of conduct.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At bay coast restoration, we specialize and mold remediation, fire and smoke restoration, and water damage restoration.

Things that set us apart are our dedication to “exceeding customer expectations” as well as having the most up-to-date licensing and educational material and training. The owner personally holds the mold remediation license and does the initial inspection himself and oversees the job and or claim from start to finish.

Another thing that sets us apart is that we educate our customers on all aspects of the job and what to expect. We help them file insurance claims and also help them through all parts of the insurance process.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
A bit of luck is good for any business and for us. I’d say, having friends that are in the industry and people that we can turn to for expert advice has always allowed us to better serve our customers.
