Hi Jessica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Want to know a secret? I am a hopeless romantic, and I believe in love. My name is Jessica and I am the owner of The Helpful Consultant. The Helpful Consultant was created in 2021 out of my passion for bringing people together. After 2020 I saw an opportunity. To bring people into small businesses while also helping them reconnect. There is so much magic found all around Orlando outside of the theme parks. That is why I chose to partner with fellow small business owners. To help locals and tourists find these gems while creating unique experiences. I got where I am today because I have a supportive husband, family, and friends who believe in me. The business has had a few delays for opening yet with love and support I have continued on. Currently very optimistic to see what the future holds. I am even more excited to create these unforgettable experiences for clients. Life has taught me that we should all find the time to do what makes us happy. No matter how often that is. Never stop dating. Enjoy evenings at romantic restaurants and other venues away from your normal spot. Life is an adventure and there are so many experiences waiting for you.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have certainly been a lot of new challenges that I have endured to get where I am today. My company originally was going to be something entirely different.
Then a couple of months in I changed the plan and went for the more challenging course. Creating a new market is something that is exhilarating yet crushing at times.
I have had to learn how to navigate how to work with other small businesses so we both can benefit from the partnership. While also ensuring that a variety of clients would benefit from my services. I believe these challenges will allow me to be more flexible as I continue to grow the company. We are living in strange times so might as well learn how to adapt.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Back when I first moved to America from England. I was 7 years old and having a hard time making friends. My neighbor down the street ended up coming over to my house to ask if I was her age. From that moment on we were stuck together like glue. Her family instantly accepted and loved me as one of their own. To this day I still call her my sister and consider them family. They showed me how caring for the community and helping one another is how we make tomorrow better than today.
