Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Secrist.
Hi Grace, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started to love makeup when I was 11 and when I got to high school I wanted a way to share my love with everyone so I created my account just for my friends and for fun! when I was a senior in high school I started taking it seriously and gained around 50,000 followers. I worked on my account during a gap year and have been consistently posting for about 2-3 years now.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Yes, some struggles I found were blocking out time to makeup enough content to post and being able to stay focused when it came to being on social media all the time. Yes, I work on social media, but scrolling for 4 hours at a time isn’t work!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m mostly known for my eyebrows and having clear skin! I’m most proud of the fact that I get to work with IPSY and have flown with them to a few events! Along with this, I was also able to meet some other big creators; Mac Daddy, Gigi Gorgeous, Becky G, and more! I feel like what sets me apart from others is that I try to do looks for everyone! Some super simple, some super glam, and so much more!
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success with happiness. I’m so happy that I get to wake up and share what I do with people from all around the world. I feel successful when a video I put my heart into does well and people feel they can use it to help them.
