Hi Oriana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
We started as an artist development & management company formerly know as ‘4 The Culture Ent.’.. Our goal has always been to be the home for Independent Artist grinding to be seen and heard. Those artist not only looking to understand the music business but also looking to perfect their craft. We have been curating music events for the past 4 years here in Orlando, FL. We have had some of the dopest Host & Entertainers at our events like Brittany Elyse, Memphis Bleek, DJ Envy from the Breakfast Club to name a few.
Fast forward and here we are Culturefest Orlando ‘Year 2’. CultureFest Orlando was birthed as Independent Artist Music + Art Festival. Founded by Oriana C. and Derek Powell, we are here to leave a major mark in the Music Industry. At CultureFest you can expect to vibe out to the hottest indie artist on our radar from across Florida and beyond. In addition to that we will be featuring an Art Exhibit, Food truck market & more!
We are all about community and we keep that at the center of everything that we do. Our events are for anyone who wants to get out the house & enjoy a good time with great people. We also highlight local businesses at CultureFest Orlando so there’s something for everyone!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road had not been smooth at all for us. Our first year hosting CultureFest Orlando the world was hit with Co-vid and we had no idea if the festival would even take place. Despite the circumstances, we had the green light to move forward since it was an outdoor event in such a large field. Was it easy to pull off – not at all. I was actually about 4 months pregnant at the time – which most people didn’t know. BUT we made it happen and I am so thankful for my team who helped to make the event a success.
We’ve been impressed with CultureFest Orlando, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a Music & Art Festival based in Orlando, FL We feature Independent Artist from across the United States on our platform. At the heart of what we do – our goal is to get Independent Artist noticed and we pull our resources to make it happen.
Each year we plan to create bigger experiences for Musicians & Music lovers to connect.
