Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Tabares.
Hi Sara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Back in 2016 (Venezuela), I had this thirst for entrepreneurship, on a mix between my passion for flowers and creativity I created Il Giardino. I started my business in a partnership with my cousin, we used to be the perfect combo, she had this countability skills and I had the creativity. By that year, our boxes used to be made with wood, the boxes used to be 100% handmade, from the beginning to the end. Since 2018 we are based in Orlando and today we offer different variety of signature boxes made with different materials, including acrylic.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Business is a roller coaster that you definitely have to be sure to ride on. After the business was on top of the peak in my country I had to move to US and start everything from zero, looking for new providers, company for packaging, etc. But thanks to that I had a clear vision of how it works the floral industry in the area.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My passion for the flowers makes my creativity explodes every time that I’m making a floral arrangement or decorating. I love the moment when the client left everything on my hands because they trust my job that’s my perfect moment to innovate and make some magic. Working with flowers is one of the most beautiful things, the flowers have their own language and it’s magical all the feelings that you can express in just one arrangement. As a perfectionist, I’m always looking to exceed customer expectations and it’s very satisfying that mostly of my clients always come back. Sleekness and neatness are the two fundamental pillars to create each arrangement. I would say that one of the facts that sets me apart of the others is that I don’t sell just a product, I offer elegance, quality and art in each design.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
As an Orlando based business we love our city, we are working on the expansion of our team so we can serve to different locations at the same time and also looking forward to open physical stores in the area. I’m very proud that Il Giardino is already in two countries (Venezuela-US) I dream of the expansion to other countries specially in Europe.
