Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamzum Morris.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Goddess Glo 11.11 was created in part of my daughter. Since birth she struggled with Eczema, and seems like no matter the creams or lotions that I used on her skin, they were not helping. So as a mother, I felt that I needed to find something that helped her skin. With my notebook and pen, I started researching different oils and butters that were beneficial to the skin. So after researching the pros and cons of them, I started testing a few oils to see how they would not only react to her skin, but mine as well. When I started noticing the changes in her skin, then it made me start researching plants and their benefits to the skin. How can I infuse these plants with oils to help make a deeper impact to the skin. So in my kitchen is where it all began. So from there, I started using the products I made and people were asking me why did my skin look so smooth and soft… Only to say, it’s something I created at home. And from there not realizing that there are so many people that suffer from skin conditions. Or was just wanting products that wasn’t full of chemicals. Ultimately it was time to start moving in the direction of Self Care Products. Sometimes, a person just needs to take a day and pamper themselves. Something we often forget. Self Care equals Self Love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This road has not been easy at all. You try your best to have products for every customer you come across. And unfortunately, that is not the case. You advertise, do events, pop up shops, even have a sale… but some days can just be a miss. And you have to realize, all you can do is put your best foot forward and have faith that someone will take a chance and try a product they’ve never tried before.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My company is Handcrafted Skincare Products and more. I create Body Oils, Body Butters, Body Scrubs, Bath Soaks, and Candles. What sets me apart from others is I make EVERYTHING… I create my products with a mindset of positivity and wanting to have my customers feel like Goddesses and Kings. It’s easy to throw some oils together, but it’s about wanting to brighten up a person’s spirit with making them feel good. I’m most proud of the feedback I receive from customers. Because even on days where I’ve felt like giving up. They have let me know how my products have helped them. How my products made them feel, just not on the outside…but the inside as well.
I want readers to know that I make my products with Love and Light. If I’m in a bad mood or stressed, I will not make products because I feel that negativity will go into it. And I definitely don’t want that energy transferred into my products. What you feed into your business, is the result you give. And I just want people to feel good about themselves.
