Daily Inspiration: Meet Antoinette Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoinette Green. 

Hi Antoinette, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Antoinette Green, I am the owner and creative director of Team Green Party Decore established November, 2020. We specialize in balloon decor, customized backdrops, event planning for small private gatherings to large parties, and much more. I am known for my bold creativity and talent to execute any vision within any set budget. I live to serve my customers an exceptional service by making each and every event or service with Team Green a tailored experience, setting us apart from our competitors. I want our customers to always feel unique and overjoyed when seeing their final product.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
When I take a step back to acknowledge the road thus far, I have to say it’s been erratic and challenging to say the least. I started my path during the pandemic, when event planning was nearly nonexistent. I took that time to take classes and worked under other event planners, then ventured out on my own by setting up clients in their own home as virtual baby showers became a trend for safety. The restrictions surrounding the pandemic started to change, soon emerged drive-thru graduations, and other such distant safe events. Further along we’ve detoured from those obstacles and faced many other challenges such as venue restrictions, building our team, supply shortages, and establishing a new normal as the business matures while I continue to consistently evolve. By far my biggest challenge has been being a perfectionist on a time restriction. I work in an unpredictable field that can be affected by so many aspects I can describe the road as anything but smooth.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m driven by my dedication to share my continued passion with our customers. As the saying goes “do what you love and the money will follow”. I remember planning my own wedding back in 2015 and making numerous decisions to bring my fabulous event to light causing me to feel overwhelmed with stress. After overcoming that obstacle and successfully executing my own wedding, this established my love for event planning. I’ve spent years assisting some of the top event planners in the Bay area. I have worked to perfect my craft by completing several courses in different areas of planning, management, and balloon decor. All of which have helped mold my understanding of what is necessary to provide the best professional experience.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
To all looking to network I can’t stress enough how impactful social media platforms are. You can network, find a mentor, and find inspiration all for free. Throughout my career I have realized this field comes with constant change from themes, expectations, and trends, you have to always be looking for ways to expand, learn and grow. Always stay passionate and execute each vision one event at a time. I remember being in the beginning of the pandemic and thinking the time isn’t right yet to start my business but timing will never be perfect. As I told myself no more excuses just go for it, which is exactly what I would advise to others.

    I’ve worked with Mrs.Green before for my baby shower and she provided an amazing experience she definitely goes above and beyond. I will certainly be using her for future events.
