Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivan Bermudez and Albert Sidaui.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Ivan STORY Albert and I are childhood friends and were always together. As a kid I (Ivan) was always into art, drawing, and sketching cartoons. As I got into high school, I took a class that taught us about screen printing and basic arts. That interested me so I decided to continue my path in graphic arts. After high school, I got a degree in Digital Publishing and Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, I got my first job at a local Orlando company where I spent 10 years as a graphic designer. There I worked on some signage, large-scale projects for all local theme parks and construction companies, as well as many other things. After those ten years, I felt I wanted a change. After leaving that company behind I took on the role of Production Manager for a local sign shop where I oversaw the day-to-day operations and production. By the time I left my job as production manager I had invested 15 years into an industry that I love. However, my love for spending time with my daughter pushed me out of my comfort zone. Being a single father, I wanted the flexibility to take care of my daughter and teach her the value of building something you can call your own.
Albert STORY Growing up I (Albert) was always interested in the creative process behind building things. I can remember telling my aunts and uncles that I was going to grow up and become an architect so that I can design and build their dream home. That fascination led me to taking architectural drafting in high school. Not long after high school I changed my career path and decided to pursue employment in banking. For me, the banking industry laid the foundation of leadership and taught me the value of relationship building. In the mid-2000s I decided it was time for change, so I returned to school to get my bachelor’s degree in Business. As I was finishing my degree, I was hired by a global restaurant chain as a general manager. It was here that I was able to implement the business strategies I learned in college and take my managerial and leadership skills to the next level. Entrepreneurship has always been a passion. It has changed my life and given me the opportunity to create a successful business. Limitless has given me the full freedom to be able to be there for my family and follow my dreams.
Limitless STORY In the mid-2010 Ivan was deep in the sign industry helping grow someone else’s dream. Albert was transitioning out of his general manager position and was looking for a career change. So, after we chatted about the sign industry and its potential for growth, we decided that we would bring Albert on at the shop Ivan was working at and teach him the ins and outs of the industry. Five years later for Ivan and one year for Albert we both decided it was time to move on. We both left that company and decided to team up and work for ourselves. We started out as independent contractors doing installations for many of the sign shops in the Orlando and surrounding areas. After about two years of that, learning some critical do’s and don’ts from some of these companies and our combined years of experience we took the leap of faith. Limitless Signs and Graphics was born!
Together we have grown the business year after year and have established priceless relationships with our clients by providing value and treating them like family. We now look forward to growing our family and what the future holds.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our goal is to be LIMITLESS, so for us, that means early mornings and late nights. Lots of sacrifice and doing whatever it takes for our clients, even if it seems impossible. Part of that process is learning new ways of doing things and processes. Growth is a process. As a business owner, you must wear multiple hats at the same time. You must be an accountant, marketing director, production manager, secretary, designer, sales manager, supervisor, and lawyer all in one. Capital would be another obstacle in our way. It takes money to start any type of business, whether home-based or storefront, and going from nothing to where we are today all while trying to grow a company in the middle of a global pandemic has been no easy feat. So, has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not, but the road to success has many curves. The important part is to truly love what you’re doing, willingness to learn, and above all else continue to move forward!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
