Today we’d like to introduce you to Lailani Mendoza.
Hi Lailani, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Beauty & Fashion have always been passions of mine since I was a child. As I grew older, I became more into makeup and although I wasn’t allowed to really wear makeup until well into my teen years, I’d always longed for the day where I can look and feel my best by using and experiencing with different makeup and techniques. From watching beauty gurus on Youtube to trying new things on my own, I always knew this was the route I wanted to go. My parents thought I looked crazy when I’d come out with pink and purple eye makeup, but I knew they just didn’t “get it”, haha. Later, I had found so much joy and peace in it, it became my little escape.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
As smooth as rocks! Like everything in life, it took time for me to get to where I am now. There was a long period of time where I had no clientele which made me feel defeated. I’d questioned whether this was really for me and what was I really doing here. However, I didn’t let that discourage me from promoting myself and my work and to continue chasing my dream.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?What sets me apart from others is that I care! Most makeup artists do this as a profession, some for the money but I do this from the heart. I care about my clients and find joy in helping them discover their inner beauty. This life is tough enough so helping my clients find their inner beauty and simply adding to that beauty externally provides my soul with the satisfaction it needs to keep on going. I was born and raised in Orlando so I find joy in making my “city beautiful” one face at a time!

What matters to me most is Confidence. Because let’s face it, when we FEEL beautiful, we ARE beautiful and can’t nobody tell us nothing … OK!
