Hidden Gems: Meet Branson Bowen of PBc Construciton/Contractors Closers and Connections Oralando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Branson Bowen.

Hi Branson, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My mission has always been to simply, make an impact. Creating a space for people to make memories and build a life seemed like the best approach. Whether it is having a first meal on a first date, shopping for gifts for family and friends, hearing life-changing news at the doctor, moving into your first apartment, or everything in between, Commercial Real Estate is the vehicle that ties all of these together.

My story starts with mentor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a commercial developer who made a name for himself development shopping centers across the city. This mentor spoke into my life while in college and saw the drive and passion that I had for Commercial Real Estate in which he then encouraged me to pursue.

After getting my real estate license, while in class I was introduced to a spouse of someone who worked at Marcus & Millichap, a fortune 500 investment sales firm in Baton Rouge. Shortly after the introduction, my employment and training started. My focus, NNN single, and multi-tenant retail sales.

After two years at the firm my experience and knowledge for the investment portion of a development began to grow and after being razor-focused on only one aspect of the transaction, I then had the opportunity to move to Florida and get introduced to Brian Grandstaff with Millenia Partners.

Fast forward… Welcome to Orlando!

After complete culture shock, I started my career as a Commercial retail broker for Millenia Partners. My focus, Investment sales, and Client representation. Finding tenants for landlords in the local market was a quick way to allow me gain the knowledge and the relationships in a new city that I needed to launch me into the next phase of professional development.

With my goal of being a Commercial Developer, Brian became a mentor and a friend that I lean on strongly in the new place I now call my new home. But I was still missing one piece of the puzzle.

Construction.

By the God alone, I was introduced to PBC Construction. Through my role of Business Development and Pre-Construction Management at PBC, it has given me the insight and understanding of processes, risk, and structure from a construction standpoint to loop in the circle of a commercial development.

Lastly, after the circle of experience was closed, the one thing that was clear was that I had created amazing relationships across the industry. With my passion of the industry and my heart to help the community, I decided to start the 501c3 nonprofit called Contractors Closers and Connections- Orlando.

CCC-Orlando has one mission built on two principles. Connect the Commercial Real Estate and Construction industry and act as a vehicle to help build the community of Orlando. Started in May of 2021 we host monthly networking/fundraising events for the top executives of the Commercial Real Estate and Construction Industry while donating the entire event proceeds to a local nonprofit that need the resource to further their outreach here in the community.

Although I have a long way to go, I can truly say that not one experience was random. Through God’s grace, I have some amazing people in my life that have given me wisdom and direction in each season of life that I have been in. I can only hope that I can be that pillar for someone like myself one day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Of course, the road has not been easy, but who can expect anything to be easy, only trough trial is where we grow.

Obstacles like entering into a cooperate company with no experience, moving to a new city knowing no one, or even working three jobs at the start of my career were all things that had to be overcame.

But in the obstacles are where I learned the most. I learned that nothing worth anything in life comes easy. I learned that if you have a true passion for something, you’ll do anything to accomplish it. I learned that relationships are the core of anything in life. I learned that providing value gets deals done. I learned that no doesn’t always mean no. I learned that the more you give, the more you receive, but you must give without expecting to receive. I learned that discipline, endurance, and faithfulness will get you through anything. Lastly, I learned that once you come out of the valley of life you develop an understanding of what life truly is about and you grasp a sense of understanding and trust of what is to come.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

I represent a 15-year-old family-owned Commercial General Contractor. Precision Building Construction, LLC. We specialize in commercial construction with a heavy presence in design-build construction methods. What sets PBC apart from others is that from our experience we feel that we can easily relate and meet the clients’ needs and desires for a project from inception of design all the way to the end of a project. Being a small company allows us to meet a private clients needs through relationships and understanding but our team provides that quality and experience that comes with a large company.

I am also the founder of Contractors Closers and Connections Orlando. One mission built on two principles.

Connect the Commercial Real Estate and Construction industry and act as a vehicle to help build the community of Orlando. With a backbone of philanthropy, we are not just any average networking organization. As a 501c3 nonprofit each event we host has three key focal points.

1. Provide a space for the top executives of Orlando to create lasting relationships.

2. Provide value to everyone who attends each event by partnering with key industry leaders who have influence in their line of work.

3. Partnering with a local nonprofit organizations in Orlando to help them spread their mission and expose them to the resources of our network to further their outreach.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
LinkedIn is the best way to collaborate and talk shop. Whether it be construction services, professional connections, or philanthropy I am always willing to build a relationship with leaders.
