Check Out Motion Picture’s Story

Today .we’d like to introduce you to Motion Picture.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Motion Picture and I am a music producer based out of Orlando, Florida. I was born and raised in New Hampshire. After high school, I moved to New York City to attend the Institute of Audio Research (IAR) in pursuit of a music career. Upon graduating from IAR, I was given the opportunity to intern at Daddy’s House, which is Sean “Puffy” Combs’ private studio. This was life-changing, as I gained experience working in the very same studio as many renowned music icons. In 2008, I enrolled at Full Sail University in Orlando to further my education and knowledge of the music and entertainment industries. I graduated in 2010 with my Bachelor’s Degree in the entertainment business. Following that, I began to collaborate with some of the top artists in the Greater Orlando region. I designed my own production studio and continue to produce and record artists throughout the city.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has certainly been challenging at times. Making money as a music producer, or in any type of creative venture is difficult and never guaranteed. I’ve spent countless hours working on perfecting my craft, essentially for free, to establish my name and brand. In spite of these obstacles, I have begun to encounter small successes, which reminds me that persistence is key. With my dedication and passion for music, I am confident that I will continue to see positive results.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a music producer and songwriter. I specialize in music production and am known for my unique sample beats and original compositions. I am most proud of the commitment and dedication I have exhibited to be able to maintain a music career for more than 15 years. What differentiates me is my ear and the ability to find and chop records. I am also highly skilled at networking, whether via social media or in person, with people from all walks of life.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The vibrant music scene in Orlando is why I have stayed for more than a decade. Having established relationships with some of the top artists and producers in the city, I have been able to tap into new genres and styles of production. The diverse scene continually presents opportunities for me to collaborate with artists from different places. What I like least about Orlando is the heavy traffic and lack of reliable public transportation. Getting around can be a challenge and very frustrating at times.
