Life & Work with Pobeezy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pobeezy.

Hi Pobeezy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was your typical young man working dead-end jobs and trying to find my way in the world. I had just moved back home to Clermont Florida where my grandparents were staying and was finding myself in the same situation, I had just left the DMV to get away from. The streets, fast money, and things of that nature. One day as I was washing dishes and listing to my iPod at Denny’s, praise him in advance by Marvin Sapp came on and I prayed and asked God to let me do what I love to do for a living. I wanted to be an entertainer, musician, and businessman. Couple weeks later I met my one of my best friends at Sam ash music store at a drum shed we used to go to and he invited me to Touch the Mic Thursdays at cafe Annie’s downtown Orlando and it was all she wrote from there. A chain reaction of networking and playing one gig with my new reggae band to creating my own band to fast forward and I have 7 bands I currently book year-round under my production company and also host various shows and events in Orlando.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Man, where to begin, you have to learn a lot in this entertainment industry. Biggest thing is get Ali g with everyone, don’t burn bridges, and start off trying to gauge your worth. The better you start the better you finish and move to the next thing. First impressions are literally everything Aswell.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am probably one of the most talented individuals you will ever meet and that’s really because my mom always told me you can literally do anything you want and if someone is better than me at one thing, I know I’m better than them at something else so I take that and let it fuel me to be the best entertainer possible. Oh, so what is it I do…… glad you asked lol. I’m a musician and musical director. Main instrument is drums but I hear all parts in my head when creating a beat or a live arrangement for a song, I do poetry, I host, I’m an all-around entertainer learning to dabble in acting and I also book everything you would need for a wedding, party, or corporate event.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I want to be the biggest booking agency on the east coast. That’s it
