Meet Jasmine Bailey of Uplift and Leade Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Bailey.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I came from a large, blue-collar family and was told to always get good grades, go to college, earn a degree, and land a good-paying job with benefits. But somehow at 17 – that just did not sit right with me. I wanted more.

I wanted different than the suburban town living I was accustomed to.

But on paper, I was a very unlikely entrepreneur.

Moving from Ohio to Florida as a college dropout at the young age of 19 – with no job, no family nearby, no real plan, just 2 suitcases, a one-way airline ticket, and a strong desire.

BUT GOD…

He had a plan for every season of my life

The young girl with relentless drive.

An insane work ethic.

A curious mind.

A super warm and big heart.

And once I gave my life to Christ, at the age of 22, I became the girl with a stronger desire to be whoever He needs me to be to glorify Him. At that time, I returned to the classroom and began studying theology and psychology/behavioral analysis until the birth of my son. The blessing of being a new mom changed my entire outlook on life. It impacted how I wanted to show up as a “mama” (as my son lovingly calls me) to my son and the kind of childhood I wanted him to experience. As my postpartum journey began, it became harder and harder to “go back to the way things were” before him. I wanted to work full-time, finish my studies and earn my degree but I did not want to sacrifice so much time away from my young son. I desired time freedom, so I set aside much time in praying and seeking God for His guidance; for His plan,

Soon after, I was introduced to the Financial Services industry. It was that introduction that revealed to me that I was not only financially broke, but I was mentally broke as well. What I needed was a full financial makeover and plenty of mental shifts. I began receiving so much information around money management, money-generating activities, and financial stability that it all took me by surprise. I considered myself pretty knowledgeable up until this point. I never heard anyone in my family discuss the topics and strategies I was being guided to implement for me and my family. I felt embarrassed and thought I was surely living under a rock for 28 years. Surprisingly enough, once I decided to get my certifications and licensure to begin working in the industry part-time, I realized that many families I met with were also not having these conversations and receiving this information for the first time after 30, 40, 50+ years.

It was then that I was reminded of the younger me that had such a strong desire to be whatever God needed me to be to glorify Him. It was also then that I became the mom and woman God equipped me to be, to be entrusted to build a business and create an impact that glorifies Him.

It was in that conclusion that I took the leap of faith and left my corporate career of 9 years to begin serving local families with life insurance solution services, asset protection, retirement planning, and other wealth resources.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth ride. I had many false starts which are costly when you have a family to take care of. I mentioned the many mental shifts that I needed to take and that was not always an easy or timely process. Some of the struggles I experienced, was trying to run a business the way the world says, “go harder”, “hustle more”, and “grind 24/7”, I held no value for my time and would agree to meet clients all around central FL and at any given time without finding space to prioritize family time and rest. This led to cycles of consisting trying to serve clients from an empty cup due to burnout and high functioning anxiety. That just was not sustainable. It’s not that I don’t work hard anymore, because I do but once I did away with my ambition, I found God’s purpose and my perspective going into 2020 to “abide”, “rest”, “surrender” and “trust”, led my home, my motherhood journey and my businesses have merged under the same mission and no longer compete. I thrive off of the balance my routines provide me now. I can show up fully serving and loving people well and leave the results to God.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is nationwide and is service and consulting-based. The framework is set to assess the life insurance needs of a potential policy owner and potential insured, the analysis and implementation of individual retirement planning, and other needs around financial resources and wealth preservation. What sets me apart from others is my focus to do what is right for the client using my God-given gifts and talents. Striving to do what makes sense for my client’s budget and meets the heart and needs of their home, family, and financial objectives.

While it is not an unlikely occurrence for God to show favor to the most unlikely people. It was only God who opened doors for my business in 2020 where I serve as a liaison and lead solutions between HR specialists and benefits managers of a Florida-based hospice company. Using my knowledge and God-given abilities to perform logistics and data research designed to support the company in selecting the health benefits and final expense coverage that will best suit the needs of their employees, staff, and families. God’s glory all the way!

Looking forward to servicing more clients and families with the process of obtaining asset protection for the inevitable and soon offering faith-based financial resources for women, money mindset and abundance coaching, as well as uplifting resources designed to encourage mothers, entrepreneurs, and clients.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family, church family, my friends, and my clients. They all play a very important role in my journey and my continued path. Although my family is so far away, my grandmother and my parents have been my biggest supporter. My church family along with my friends who have become family over the years have kept me encouraged during the hard seasons, kept me accountable in the scaling seasons, and have celebrated my growth in the winning seasons. Each are needed and deeply cherished.
