Today we’d like to introduce you to Nycole Palmieri.
Hi Nycole, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Mystic Burlesque was created by Lorien Starr and Nycole Palmieri in 2020 with the intention to give local burlesque performers opportunity to create, express, perform and work!
Lorien one of the Co-Founders of Mystix Burlesque is a Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, physical therapist assistant, Burlesque performer, and Dancer in the Orlando area.
Nycole the other co-founder of Mystix Burlesque has been a professional dancer since the age of 13yrs old and has traveled and performed all around the world. She has worked with companies like Universal Studios, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Seaworld, Disney world, Simonwill Entertainment, Millenium Dance complex, The Orlando Predators, and many more.
She has always had a passion for anything in the arts and entertainment world and has recently become the new owner of Bella Entertainment. This has helped Mystix grow and add burlesque to the multitude of entertainment services the entertainment company provides along with giving more opportunity to performers!
In 2020 Lorien was approached by a venue to do pop-up burlesque shows for a local venue. She then reached out to Nycole to continue to cultivate, promote, execute and grow the show, so then we decided “hey, let’s start a burlesque group! We wanted to give the venue variety and give entertainers opportunity in such hard times with finding little work. so…We came up with the name, had auditions, and now have 10+ performers on our roster. for a year that’s what we did every weekend until they had to suddenly close their doors and we were left without a performance venue.
But that didn’t stop us! We were on the search for a new home, and with some time we finally had been given the chance to produce our very first show, and not just any show but a Halloween show (The Witching Hour)!
We have to say and give credit where it’s due… if it wasn’t for Blue Star our Burlesque group and show wouldn’t be what it is today. She gave us a home and space to grow our creativity and give room for new and seasoned performers to share their art. To her, we are grateful for her believing in us and trusting us to bring beautiful art to her venue at the time.
Mystix burlesque went on to produced 6 shows 4 of which sold out… but in March of 22 due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to find another venue for Mystic Burlesque.
We had to regroup and refocus, during the months of March-June we were hired for private and special events while still pushing to show the world the magic of Mystix burlesque all while still looking for a space that Mystix could call home.
3 months had gone by and we still hadn’t found a space, up until the end of May where we approached Iron Cow to put on burlesque shows and they agreed to have us! yay! So with a few meetings we are now on our way to have our very first show at Iron cow located in the milk district.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has never been a smooth road, but that is the beauty of it honestly. We have had venues suddenly close their doors on us, or partnerships no longer aligning with the path we want to take but, it has taught us so much. Nycole and Lorien have many year experience as performers in this industry but we are very new to this side of the Entertainment world. Producing shows is a lot of hard work, late nights, and no sleep but all in all we love doing it. performing, putting on shows, and creating with an awesome group of performers that feel the same way is so fulfilling and exciting.

We are a Magical Burlesque group with a bunch of super talented humans that specialize in neo, and classic burlesque. From rock and roll to Christmas, Halloween and Jungle themed show we strive to give our audiences something new and excited each and every time.
We love for our audiences to come from far and wide and not know what they’re going to get from us.
Our shows are Empowering, sexy, funny, magical and always have people wanting more.
We encourage everyone no matter who you are or what walk of life you come from to escape from reality and enjoy our magical world even if it is for a short time.
