Hi Finny, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My background is actually in Telecommunications and I landed in Transportation on one of my many travels throughout the world. I would usually travel in groups of 2-10 and we would always need larger vehicles, for both business and personal travel. I saw that there were not a lot of places that offered luxury vehicles for groups. This discovery combined with the fact that I was growing a family and wanted a business that did not require so much travel led me to starting the company. We started in 2016 by brokering with other providers and renting their vehicles out. By 2018, I had earned the trust from a few partners and also gotten the experience to start buying my own fleet of vehicles. Fast forward, and we now operate in 4 states with a fleet of over 30 vehicles.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, it was very challenging. Initially, we struggled to get our product and service out into the marketplace and relied heavily upon 3rd party agencies to provide us affiliate work. Once we started marketing, that problem was solved, but then we were overwhelmed with demand and did not have the proper infrastructure to service our clientele. We did not have funding to acquire vehicles and we did not have the right staff to assist in servicing and maintaining them.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We rent luxury, custom Mercedes Sprinter Vans for clients to use with or without a chauffeur. Most places will not allow you to rent one of their luxury vehicles without a chauffeur, but we offer that option for our client’s convenience. Our vans are custom and are essentially Jets on Wheels. We have a large fleet of vehicles and keep them up to date with service and maintenance. When you rent from ATL Sprinters, we are very transparent in our pricing and don’t have any surprises or hidden costs. We are one of the few companies that offer delivery to your home or business location and most of our locations offer 24/7 drop-off services.
How do you define success?
I define success in business as an ongoing and never-ending process. It is progressive and can be measured on a daily, monthly, or weekly basis. It is simply the achievement of my set out goals for the period.
