Today we’d like to introduce you to Clarence McGowan and Nehemiah Wagner.
Hi Clarence and Nehemiah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It began with a casual conversation back in 2018 between Nehemiah & Clarence, they both had a true desire to start a business and build wealth for their families. Unbeknownst to them that they’d be business partners eventually.
Fast forward to February 18th, 2021 during another conversation both shared the same sentiments again and we’re now business partners ready to introduce the world to “McGowan & Wagner Home Services” which provides
premier home services while delivering stellar customer service through sound business practices and industry expertise.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely some turbulence along the way specifically regarding job cost & limited manpower. Due to the lack of knowledge of industry standards we found ourselves overworked and underpaid for services rendered.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
McGowan & Wagner are known for complete home services to include but not limited to, renovations, interior/exterior painting, pressure washing, and installation services, etc.
Our company is most proud of the opportunity to impart into the youth of tomorrow and holding hands with returning citizens who are struggling to find their identity in society. We’re able to foster these opportunities through the offering of internships and job placement, which sets us apart from other employers within our industry.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We see our industry growing exponentially due to the rapid demand for housing in the Central Florida area driven by the increasing number of new residents migrating from the Northern states, i.e., New York, Illinois, etc., such factors include overall cost of living, taxes (state & federal vs. only federal in Florida).
