Hello Yesdnilco Captures Art, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I decided to become a photographer because of my good friend and brother Anthony. Unfortunately he is only with us in our heart and minds now. Anthony was a blind photographer. His work inspired me and I’m not sure how he did it but it made me feel like I could. Anthony was and still is a huge inspiration to all of us. I am constantly around artists and we always need pictures and videos content. Getting a great photographer who isn’t booked and busy can be stressful, So now I do my own content for my brand Yesdnilco. I am a designer, as well I am an Artistic Management Director for the RDB fashion show. A traveling fashion show that provides opportunities for a creative artists to display their skills and talents and build their careers. This was also apart of Anthony’s dream.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Covid 19 really showed us what is capable of. More people were forced to be creative and become entrepreneurs. I think the biggest obstacle is self. We are hard on ourselves. Getting in your own way. I focus on creating memories. Obstacles and challenges are meant to help us grow and be better. Learn from it and see the blessings in it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
If it involves art I’m attracted to it. I specialize in helping people see the beauty in themselves. I am known as a designer. Being the Artistic Management Director for the RDB Fashion show has allowed me to grow. Rose Du Be’ton is a traveling fashion show that connects creative individuals with people looking for unique talent. It is in the power of networking & showing their talents that will create opportunities for their careers. I’m most proud of our team. Everyone works really hard in their areas of expertise and helps one another. What set me apart from others is my vision. My grandest vision is to build a place where all creative artist models, dancers, singers, rappers poets painters & more will come together to provide guidance for future generations and create legacy. I already see that in the process of happening.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I think we all have. Covid 19 paved the way for the entrepreneur. If you were laid off or fired an opportunity presented itself. What we do with the opportunity is up to us. Many started businesses and found a way to thrive. Many didn’t. Creativity is always key. It’s like a muscle the more you use it the stronger it becomes.
