Rising Stars: Meet Ayumu Hinata

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayumu Hinata.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started model about two years ago. I have just finished my last bodybuilding competition and my friend gave me a group shoot event information. I attended that event and shot with many photographers and I felt confident, beautiful and sexy myself. Since then I took offer from photographers to shoot more often. I never felt good enough myself and bodybuilding was completed my appearance. But same time it was hard to accept how my body change so much shape. I was overweight childhood with target by bullying on my background. So I never had confident myself how I look. Even after losing a lot of weight, gain back again when I was pregnant.

Of course, it was hard to work out and be on a tight diet with small children. I was 40lb heavier than even after had my youngest. I was also a chain smoker. Hardly to quit smoking cigarettes too. But I was tired of my looks, behaviors and excuses. I force myself to quit smoking cigarettes and start go to gym. It took quite a long time to see the results but I was getting the same question from many people “are you a personal trainer?” And I wasn’t and I didn’t even think about I can do that but here I am! Off-season and on the season, I look totally different person and mentally very struggled to accept myself. So modeling was definitely help to keep my motivation high and loving myself no matter what shape I am in. I love what I do!!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
When I started modeling good feedback and bad feedback. Sometimes very mean feedback also. Those made me less confident, be negative and take out all my self esteem.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
