Hi Kailyn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Kailyn Rae Harris. Travel has been the object of my affection since I was 16 years old. Growing up, my family did not have much money; but my mother believes in teaching me about hard work. When I was 16 years old, she helped me to raise $7,000 and I was able to travel to 6 different countries! I learned that money doesn’t have to be a barrier to exploration. It was at that time that the seed of my business was planted.
Through those experiences, I discovered that two of my greatest passions are self-improvement and harmony. The beauty of travel, is that it can embody both of these passions at once – but it doesn’t always. And that is where my business (Metamorphic Travel) comes in.
Metamorphic Travel emphasizes learning to grow, transform, and connect with others on every adventure.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
In the first year, the number of assets acquired and technical infrastructure to be set up is enough to deter naive entrepreneurs. However, those with grit have to endure the first 4 years of new business building and investing. I’m not a social media natural. Acquiring the skill set to have consistent content has been a daunting task.
As a service-based company, the overhead cost is low. However, integrating technology across platforms geared for efficient communication, trending, and sales has costs. Ideally, I want the best technical solutions. However, the cost is not justifiable for a small company. Setting realistic goals for a small business is necessary.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Concerning Orlando: I love the theme parks, the weather in January, the beaches, and the friendly people. What do I like least? Tourism and humidity.
