Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Miller.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Okay, well…where to begin… I guess getting started involves the journey to now. I started in Toledo, Ohio interning at 92.5 Kiss FM during High School. Attended Bowling Green State University studying Telecommunications in TV and Radio Broadcasting, which was a short lived career. Got into Stand-up comedy. Met my now fiancé Dallas Boyd (soon Miller). We moved to his old stomping grounds, Orlando. I interned at iHeart Media Orlando as a traffic Reporter and moved on to continue writing for the Osceola News-Gazette as a journalist and columnist. I now belong and write for IAPWE (International Association of Professional; Writers and Editors.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all; there are always and forever will be struggles. ‘If it was easy, what is the point of doing it.”
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Always writing. Whether it is journalism, writing for my cooking blog (Whole other project leading to a cookbook, stay tune), I plan on getting back to my screenplays soon. I have a completed screenplay I am pitching titled ‘Kiosk’ and am working on a feature-length horror titled ‘Lorraine.’
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Family and just living life. I have a supportive fiancé and two amazing cattos at home, Biscuits and Gravy.
