Today we’d like to introduce you to Ken Williams.
Ken, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Born and raised in New York with 9 other brothers and sisters and a nephew which made us a household of 13 total at one point. Grew up in a humbled household, full of LOVE and Fun, although, not much money, a smile can always be found.
Had many talents to include a love for sports, music, art, and making others laugh, as I always wanted to see others having a good time within my presence…One of my biggest regrets was that I should have performed better with my scholastic academics and taken advantage of some of my gifts/talents, and worked harder to achieve goals…Oh well, I also believe that there were no mistakes made in my life and everything was done for a reason, to take me on the journey that lied ahead for me…Travel and food became other passions that quickly attracted me.
I joined the US Army and became a police officer just north of Chicago, IL, in property management, before eventually obtaining my real estate license, with a few sales and customer service/management positions, in between when I caught the bug to “exceed standards, set by others” became my war cry and knew that I deserved MORE… But only if I apply myself and work hard to get what I wanted…Yet, always felt that something was missing and that ultimate success was never meant for me!
I was passionate and caring, yet, without true discipline, and would let my feelings get in the way of progress & ultimate success until I met Carlos and Luis German. Their mentorship, along with my changed attitude that “enough was enough” and tired of “doing it my way,” allow myself to be vulnerable enough to listen to men my son’s age. By this time in my life, I have had multiple divorces, adult children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and a loving wife, yet, I would still look to blame others for my shortcomings… I have come to learn that: Although someone else may be the cause of me getting knocked down in life, it is my responsibility to NOT stay down, get back up and continue!
Luis was my accountability partner, and with the proven system that Carlos provided, it just took for me to “be a sponge,” listen, learn, and put forth consistent actions, and the fact that no one was trying to change me, just help me improve myself, incorporate daily routines like positive mindset books and videos. Within time, I discovered my lane, to use my past, to help guide others today, to improve and provide a future that I can share…And the “Real Estate HERO” was born…Why, because “The real estate world needed a HERO”… Someone with a systematic way to save or obtain my customers, money and time, and never let them feel less than a person and not just a statistic or number, but people, with a reason/story to lead for a reason to buy or sell their home!
I now enjoy the process of attracting and helping other agents acquire success with the same (improved) systems that Carlos provided me years ago and embrace the act of collaboration so our customers enjoy the benefits of having a team of agents to provide them with a level of service that they deserve, that a single, just would naturally fall short in consistently deliver.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road to this success was far from easy because I lacked self-worth and little to no structure. The military and law enforcement world made me disciplined, yet, it was SELF-DISCIPLINE, that I lacked most and did not stay steady to achieve the small goals that I did set for myself… I also lacked the right tools, systems, and some people choices that at best, the success I obtained was short-lived/enjoyed before it was gone, without me taking FULL accountability for myself and my life!
Because of this, I obtained a lot, but also LOST it, just as easy…Money, material possessions, jobs, and people…Nothing was safe from my poor judgments and actions due to my selfishness and lack of belief that I can obtain TRUE HAPPINESS and success.

I am a PROUD real estate expert advisor with exp Realty, LLC / Carlos German & Team, specializing in the home buying and selling process, to include investment of secondary and vacation homes and relocation to and from Central Florida.
I am known as the Real Estate HERO because I incorporate my past experience in the military and law enforcement world to now, still “serve and protect” others with their real estate needs. I am most proud when a need has been satisfactorily taken care of, and I can help someone else GROW within this industry and life with my positive mindset and mentoring.
What sets me apart is my team, brokerage, tools, and proven system in which makes success something that can be planned accordingly with little to no derail because I am “not afraid to go deep, to get better results”… I pride myself with my superpower (skill) to make others both confident and comfortable with me within a shorter amount of time than the average agent!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My best quality/characteristic I most possess is that:
– From my young age, I was raised to look out for my siblings and PAY ATTENTION to my surroundings
– Loyalty
– Motivation / motivator
– The ultimate TEAM player, especially in an industry that mostly rewards those who accomplish things on their own/single success…I am truly fulfilled if and feel that “we ALL can win”!!
– My spirit, goals, belief, tools, systems, and team keep me ALWAYS exceeding and obtaining more than I could have ever imagined.
