Hi Quteria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the owner of The Wig Factory LLC. I started my journey in the beauty industry at the age of 12 years old. I started out doing box braids. At the age of 18, I became a full-time entrepreneur after Quitting my part-time job as a sale associate at Tommy Hilfiger.
I then started offering weave Extensions and custom wig units. Shortly after I open my very first Hair salon. Back in 2019, I started to enjoy constructing Glueless units more than installing Weave extensions. I decided to trade out my styling chair for a sewing desk. Best decision ever!
Not only do I currently offer cosmetic wigs, but also medical units as well. My passion for constructing machine-sewn wigs grew so much I started to offer one on one classes to help other women start up their wig business. Our mission At The Wig Factory Is to elevate every women’s confidence starting with her Crown.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a smooth road. Anything I do, I include my father above (God) in it, so any struggles that may been alone the way didn’t affect me.

The Wig Factory is based out of Orlando, FL, but we ship worldwide.
All of our units are constructed using a sewing machine. Which gives the unit a 2+ year life span.
We specialize in glueless units.
We are known for our top-selling choppy bang bob unit.
What sets us apart from other wig manufactures is our units are completely custom-made. All of our units require proper head measurements before constructing to ensure the unit fits your head.
Brand-wise, I am most proud how long I have been in business. I open my salon at the age of 22. 5 years later my doors are still open.
Our mission At The Wig Factory Is to elevate every women confidence starting with her Crown. Not only do we offer cosmetic wigs but also medically wigs as well. A wig is considered to be a medical wig, also known as a cranial prosthesis, when it is custom and made to address the medical issues of the individual whom will be wearing the wig. At The Wig factory, we have compassionate representatives whom work daily with clients who are experiencing hair loss. WE also offer one on one sewing Machine training classes.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned a number of different lessons through my time in the beauty industry; one of the most impactful lessons is about authenticity, to be authentic to who you are in your pursuits. There are a lot of paths toward success, and you might see others doing things differently with more success. But it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Just because others are successful now doesn’t mean that you aren’t laying a foundation for future success. We often times see what others have but don’t recognize the effort and time it took for them to get there. I try to focus on doing that best I can and “running MY race.” In this world of social media, many of us live out our brands. People recognize and respond to authenticity and passion.
