Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Morales.
Hi Angela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since as early as I can remember, I have always loved singing, writing, and helping others find their passion. I have journals full of songs, poems, and entries, some written as early as the age of 12. I spent my high school senior year immersed in my senior project, interning at La Prensa newspaper and loving every minute of it! I then won an Univision Florida essay contest, giving me the courage to keep writing. I was also on TV and earned a scholarship, which at the time was a dream come true. I was ecstatic!
This passion of writing and singing, as well as having three children of my own, led me to become a teacher in 2012. I wanted to help children find their passion and voice, and that began my teaching journey. After teaching for one year, I saw the great need for building confidence in our students. Not to mention, I felt I had lived under a rock when it came to showcasing my talents as a child! I never got involved in extracurriculars for fear of being judged, and I felt my calling was to help change this for our students who perhaps felt the same way. Alongside a very special friend and colleague, we began an after-school Drama program. There were so many talented children who lacked confidence, but we took them all in. We began writing and directing plays (full casts of 60 students and more), and little did we know that the program would continue for six years (until the pandemic in 2020). This program included hundreds of students each school year, some quiet, some doubtful, others who were outgoing, and others who needed to feel a part of something.
They all had one thing in common, they quickly became a FAMILY! These kids were EAGER and JOYFUL to be in our program, and they were dedicated! Drama gave them an outlet to find their authentic voice and provided them an opportunity to build confidence. This honestly inspired me to continue pursuing my own lifelong dreams of being a singer and writer, but most of all I wanted to always keep helping people. I kept writing on my own and published my first book in 2016, book one of my sci-fi romance young adult series called Beyond the Stars: The Lost Child. I kept writing and published my second book Beyond the Stars: Awakened in 2019. I wrote these books with the intent of seeing them on a big screen one day (yes, I have big dreams! Lol). Book three is now in the works, and I can’t wait to finish the series to see where it takes me! Suddenly, 2020 happened. Covid stripped us all of the hustle and bustle, and I was teaching online. I had a lot of time to think.
December 2020, I decided it was time to buy a domain and start The Angela Morales Show on YouTube, where I now highlight local talent, charities, and inspirational stories. I also sing for fun, because at the end of the day music brings me joy! At this point I have four published episodes: a boy who started a non-profit after surviving a terminal childhood cancer, two talented former students who have been seen on TV, and most recently, a mom who started a sponsorship program after visiting Ethiopia. There are about 10 more episodes in editing. I also have videos of me singing (well, because I love singing! LOL!) Music is a huge part of my life! I sing for fun at the moment. I am honestly just living my best life, and believe everyone else should to! We get caught up with all the “what ifs” or the feeling of “I won’t make it” and we forget that the journey is the best part. My goal is to continue sharing other inspirational stories, while continuing my journey as a teacher, singer, and author.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not! Lol The struggle is very real, but that’s when you learn to push through (in a healthy way). I honestly have learned to “self-talk” myself through life. I find joy in everything I do. It may sound cheesy, but I literally wake up every morning and say everything I’m grateful for. When I make my bed, I give thanks God I have a bed to make in the morning! When I’m cleaning or cooking – I’m grateful I have a home – I’m grateful I have food! Time?! What’s that?! Lol Of course I’ve had to learn to be very organized in order to manage my time. With a husband, three kids, a career, writing books, and now a YouTube show, life is busy. But if I get caught up in the negativity and struggle, I would give up. There were years my health took priority, and I paused.
Another year, one of my books was delayed because my mother and mother-in-law both had cancer at the same time. I listen to my body. When it’s time to rest, I rest. When it’s time to work, I work. When it’s family time, it’s ALL about my family! I am flexible with curve balls – you have to be. But I found that the instant I eliminated negativity, and negative PEOPLE, I began to value what I have and accomplish a lot more with my endeavors. I also make sure to take care of my body, mind, and soul. My family is part of that, and I’ve learned to take care of myself before I can take care of anyone else. That part didn’t always come easy, but I found my balance and my groove and it WORKS!
Thanks for sharing that. Tell us more about you. What are you most proud of?
If I had to say what I’m most proud of… I feel like I’m most proud of my growth and empathy for others. No matter what I do, I feel like being compassionate and kind are the MOST important trait in life! With everything I’ve done – from motherhood, to teaching, to writing my books, to directing my plays, to singing, I do it with my whole heart! I hope that everyone I meet remembers me for treating them with kindness. I hope my students will always remember a compassionate teacher. I hope my readers are entertained, and I hope that my YouTube viewers are inspired.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Let go of what isn’t for you and embrace what is for you! Be authentic. Love who you are and what brings you joy. Be kind and compassionate towards others. Forgive. Stay humble. This will inspire others to do the same. I believe that’s what makes the world a better place.

Angela Morales is a perfect example of what it means to live life to the fullest as God intends us to. She has beauty that is external AND internal. I envy the life that she has.
