Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Alderfer.
Hi Susan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my business about 22 years ago actually as a screen printing and embroidery company. During that time, a Harley Davidson Independent Dealership reached out to me and wanted to know if I would come out to an event and take photos; I did and LOVED it! After that first event at Harley Davidson, I realized what my passion was and that was photography! Soon after that first event, I started traveling to bike/car shows, photographing people/cars and bikes, which lead me to an awesome position with Streettrenz Magazine, screen printing their models’ outfits and taking photos of the models with cars. I developed my skill set thru online classes and hard work!
In early 2016 I started venturing out of car/bike events and turned my attention to capturing Families, Senior Class Portraits, Professional Headshots, Sport, and Event photography. I LOVE working with people, and I have always felt I never meet a stranger! Our photoshoots are fun and adventurous, and moreover, my clients walk away from their photoshoot having a great time. Today, I have two locations, one in Colorado and now opened in Titusville, Florida. We have a portable studio, or you can come to us! We also offer Lifestyle photography for those amazing scenery shots here in Florida!
For that magical Christmas Family photoshoot, we have an Antique Sleigh and Buggy to capture your family Christmas Photos as well.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
All businesses struggle at some point; I have a slogan that I live by; “when life gets blurry, adjust your focus.” There are critics everywhere; I learned that if I listen to the “noise,” it was not productive for myself, my family nor my business. I learned to show grace to myself, and when something was not working, I adjusted my “focus.”

I have photographed for Harley Davidson Independent Dealers, Streettrenz Magazine, AAU, Corporate and Military events and loved it! I started capturing Weddings, Engagement, Family, Newborn, Senior Portraits, Women in Business, Fashion Shows, and Events about 15 years ago, and LOVE every minute!

This could mean a family session with your newborn, updating your family portraits, a birthday party or baptism, Fashion Show, or a Promotional photoshoot. She also specializes in Corporate-wide Professional Headshot events. Her services are very unique! Your pictures are your pictures! It means one flat fee for your photography service, no extra charges to print your pictures! You have full control over how many pictures you want to print! Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Goodness, there are so many I am so grateful for; God for giving me this talent and his grace and guidance, my husband, who has been my greatest advocate and has supported me. My two boys who have stood behind many tables helping customers during events and allowing me to take HUGE amounts of photos of them. My sister, who I am forever grateful to for guidance and understanding, friends who have stood beside me and given me advice and support, and so many clients!
