Life & Work with Krystopher Ferdinand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystopher Ferdinand.

Hi Krystopher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all started in 2010 when my mother lost our childhood home due to the mortgage crisis of 2007-2010. That devastated me, especially on how low they purchased the property for. So, I witnessed all of the hard work she put into that home while raising two young brown/black boys in a very struggling community thrown out the window and forced to start over. That sparked a small fire in me to dig a little into real estate. Mind you, my mother did advise me to get my license in 2007 after I graduated from William R. Boone high school, but I ignored her suggestion to pursue a college basketball career. I played for a season and hung it up; now, back home, I am in the workforce. Then one of my coworkers just got his license, and a few weeks later, he got his first client under contract. After it closed, he asked if I could print something out, and I noticed the amount he was paid and quit a week later. Then that made me believe that there’s not just one way to acquire money. Let me gain the skills needed to make that same amount consistently. I then went into a rabbit hole and got my license a few months after that, and it’s been history ever since 2015. I’ve assisted over 100+ plus families with their real estate needs.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road along this journey of Real Estate. I remember my first client was a referral from my mother’s friend and because I was so impatient and new to the business, I parted ways with her the first month of working with her, and she closed maybe a year later with another agent. That was a learning lesson for me, and I then dived even deeper to understand every step from A through Z.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Investor Friendly Real Estate Consultant. I specialize in teaching others what to expect when selling or buying a home. I can understand what motivates one to purchase or sell a house and assist them in navigating from start to finish. I am proud of where I came from and how I did not become a product of my environment, and I now have educated others on how to transact from A through Z on what to expect when purchasing a roof over their heads. The few things that set me apart are that I was once them and down to earth and undriven by money, just a great problem solver.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson through this journey is that worrying helps no one. As a professional, my composure is always kept to assist in purchasing or selling a home and be their anchor for the emotional and mental part of the journey. This is one of the most considerable expense one will make in their lifetime.
