Meet Bobby Kim of 1st Choice Credit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobby Kim.

Hi Bobby, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My family came from S. Korea to the United States in the ’60s. I was born in Detroit then we moved down to Tampa, FL. I grew up with a single mom and a little sister, and we had no money. I watched my mom work 2-3 jobs while on welfare and food stamps. She struggled, but one thing she had was a Strong work ethic. I remember a point in my life when I was sick and tired of being sick and tired—tired of eating ramen noodles, peanut butter jellies, and cereal every day! So, when I was 12 yrs old, I got a job working under the table for $3.25 an hr. at a store called Soul Train, selling urban clothing ware to make sure I could help my mom and put clothes on my back! Then, I remember at 16, I got a job in sales, and someone saw something in me and took me under their wing. From that point, I knew I was an entrepreneur! Fast forward, I’ve been in the Business/Finance & Network Marketing Industry for over 20yrs! I’ve invested a lot of time & money in personal development! I can honestly say having a good mentor can truly compress the time to your learning curve and success in business! Recently, my wife and I stepped out on Faith and decided to start our own Credit Repair Company with the integrity to serve and help our clients and put them in a better financial position. I have worked for a big credit repair company for the past 5-1/2 yrs and saw that there was much more we could do to help our clients reach their goals. Since then, it’s been fulfilling to educate our clients on Financial Literacy and to help them get their credit back in order and also help them be positioned to not only purchase and house or car but to be able to refinance their high-interest loans and also position themselves to start their businesses and have the accessibility to Credit Cards, Personal/Business loans to be able to leverage OPM (Other People’s Money). My wife and I serve God and put him above everything we do because, without him. We wouldn’t be positioned to serve and help those that need help. We’re here to serve and honor those who want to help themselves and to be able to share the blessings that have been shared with us.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Lol. If I said yes! I’d be lying. Anything worthwhile takes time and patience! But, honestly, the biggest struggle was with those that didn’t believe in me or my dreams! It’s always the naysayers. And usually, they’re the closest ones to you!! Then running into roadblocks and needing to figure out what to do a lot of the time, it’s the lack of finances or resources!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a Financially Literacy/Credit Repair company that strives to help people achieve Good Personal/Business Credit. We educate our clients, walk them through the process, and help them gain the knowledge and knowledge to maintain and establish credibility with the Lenders to be able to have access to personal loans, business loans, or business funding. We help our clients remove all the negative items on their credit reports to help build a strong foundation for the empire they’re looking to develop. We work aggressively on our end to expedite our client’s files to help with a quicker turnaround to help meet our client’s goals. What separates us from all the other credit repair companies is that we leverage multiple laws outside the FCRA, which all credit repair companies use. Most importantly, I don’t want to be known as the credit repair guy but as the Financial Literacy coach that helped them through their journey to ultimately reach their goals, dreams, and aspirations, whether to clean up their credit or get lower interest rates. To be able to finance a house or car or to be positioned to start a business, build their business credit, and have access to business funding.

What matters most to you?
God and family matter most to me at this point in my life because I know what it’s like not having that type of purpose, guidance, or direction. Tony Robbins once said Success without Fulfillment is the Ultimate Failure.
