Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
My story starts with the drive and motivation to become an entrepreneur and the urge to provide for my family. When I started, I didn’t have a lump sum of money, but I was determined to do what I needed to get my business up and running. It took me 6 months to make money to hire contractors to buy inventory & supplies. In October 2016, I was officially open. Fast forward to today, December 2022. I am currently running a successful restaurant and a food truck & working on my second location to be open in February 2023.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everybody faces obstacles when running a business for the first time. Mine aren’t any different or any more challenging than anyone else’s. I’m just grateful that I’m still here, impacting my community. I am thankful I can provide excellent quality food for now and for generations. My profession is as a restauranteur. I am the owner of a pretty healthy cafe. My restaurant specializes in healthy food and drinks; we have a wide selection of healthy options. A few of our top daily sellers are salads, wraps, and smoothies. This particular item sets us apart from others; it is how we mix and serve tuna. It’s literally like no other. It is not your auntie’s tuna, lol. If you don’t believe me stop reading. Head to a pretty healthy cafe and grab a tuna and cracker. Let me know what you think. Aside from food, we do have a website where we sell merchandise, clothes, mugs, shapers, meal plans, and more.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some changes you expect to see over the next five to ten years?
My industry (a healthy eating lifestyle ) is the next big thing. Most people have yet to catch on, but when they focus on their health and their loved one’s health, they will also make a change. This industry is just getting started. There is so much more I have in store for you guys.
