Community Highlights: Meet Cindy Andrews of Sunbrite Outdoor Furniture

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Andrews.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2002 my husband and I decided to purchase an existing manufacturing/refurbishing commercial outdoor furniture company. We had not had any experience in this industry, but with our career backgrounds and the potential opportunity for outdoor furniture in our Central Florida community, we felt we were at a place in our lives that we could take the chance. After joining the local Hotel Association and Apartment Association, we took off and never looked back. We’ve made several great relationships along the way and continue to thrive now both locally and nationally. One big achievement that we are proud of is that we were able to raise our children, never missing a school or sporting event, while running our business. They are now adults and contribute to the success of our business. We also have an extended family in our employees. Over our 20 years we have watched them grow, their families grow and some even retire!

We’ve grown our business exponentially since 2002, including purchasing another exiting Awning and Cabana company also located in Orlando.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As any business owner knows, the road is very seldom smooth. We have experienced hurdles including the 2009 recession and COVID but are proud to still thrive today.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a Commercial Outdoor Furniture Company. We process manufacturing of new pool furniture as well as refurbish existing outdoor pool furniture. We also distribute other outdoor products. Our motto is ” We provide everything from the Beach to the Balcony!”

What sets us apart is that we offer such an array of services that usually covers everyone’s outdoor furniture needs, including furniture, umbrellas, cabanas, awnings, trash cans, and planters!

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about our city is the tourism industry. This industry provides so many opportunities for our community including jobs and housing needs like multi-family properties.
