Hi Chanel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in the beauty industry doing makeup & hair for 13 years. I grew up watching my dad travel the world winning hair competitions and my mom was his muse. Creativity was all around me, and I feel very fortunate that I saw what I did growing up. Today I am still growing my business and collaborating with other artists. I love connecting with people and making them feel and look beautiful,
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I am also a single mom of 4. Pushing to see my full potential is still on the rise and hasn’t been easy while raising 4 children. I want my children to see that they can do anything that the love and enjoy, with vision & action.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a makeup artist. I specialize in bridal glam. I have done a lot of destination Disney Fairy tale weddings, production, photoshoots, and theatrics. I am proud of my resilience as an artist, and attention to detail. Many people in this industry can grow sour after some time dealing with people that aren’t so kind, but I love what I do, and truly care about connecting with my clients and making sure they know I have their best interest when creating their vision/look for their special event.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was shy, but also very into dancing and the arts. I loved to paint and express myself. I always had my own style and didn’t mind pushing the boundaries outside of the norm.
