Check Out DJ Supaman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Supaman.

DJ Supaman, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began to DJ as an intern at Blazin 102.3 in Tallahassee, FL in 2008. I was always interested in music from band to production and I had a radio remote at a club called Bajas and when I saw the crowd control I told myself yeah this is what I’m going to do too.

I then became an on-air personality on Florida A&M WANM 90.5 and the rest is history. I have been a part of so many people’s special moments and I thoroughly enjoy what I do.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. During the covid years, it was extremely tough to book, and almost left the business entirely, but I was able to stay afloat and we are moving smoothly these days.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As Dj Supaman I have been able to cultivate multiple genres mostly weddings, and corporate events.

I am known for bringing what we hear today to mix with the sounds of the Caribbean from Kompa, Dancehall, and afrobeat to bachata, merengue then trap, I like to think I have a hometown international appeal in which we can go everywhere during my sets.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes, the lesson I have learned is to stay patient and that light will come and people will still party when it’s safe to do so.
