Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Bennett.
Hi Angela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My passion for art has been the motivation for me to continue on the journey of learning all new styles and techniques in the cosmetic tattoo industry. Starting out as a self-taught artist in 2006, I learned the old-school traditional style art of tattooing. Tattoos became very popular and I was slamming out many pieces on friends and family building my clientele and portfolio.
Mostly collaborating with fellow local artists in the Chicagoland area hosting tattoo gatherings for years. I wanted to go further in the tattoo industry and my options happened to be best in the city of Orlando, Florida. After moving to Altamonte Springs in 2016, my art skills improved while taking digital art classes at Daytona State College. Technology was a game changer for me in designing new tattoo ideas given to me by clients.
The stencil process became seamless after using advanced equipment, much different than traditional tattoo shops. I started exploring other tattoo shops in the greater Orlando area and decided to collaborate with a team of barbers who also specialized in Scalp Micropigmentation. Becoming a certified scalp micropigmentation artist was the best decision for my tattoo career. My dream has come true becoming a licensed cosmetic tattoo artist. Each day, I am helping other people achieve the look they can be confident about. SMP not only changed my technique it also changed my life. I now travel to Chicago and Jacksonville on a regular basis restoring hairlines and density to scalps experiencing hair loss.
I also get the privilege of educating my peers about the Scalp Micropigmentation process and how to get trained and certified in the industry. So many people are unaware of the alternatives to hair transplants or hairpieces that cause a lot more difficult than needed. With each client, I take my time to explain the step-by-step process, and all to expect from scalp micropigmentation in multiple sessions. When I have time away from my office where I do each procedure, you will find me at local events passing out brochures and stickers letting people know how affordable SMP can be.
Over the last couple of years of performing SMP on clients, I prefer restoring a hairline rather than a traditional tattoo. The smile after someone realizes they are no longer bald is much more rewarding for me. The Orlando community is full of many diverse types of cultures, and all share a similar desire to be comfortable in their own skin.
Cosmetic tattooing can help in so many ways.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My journey so far has been flying high above any thoughts I had years ago about my tattoo career.
Everything has worked out for me very easily by speaking to many similar local business owners. My referral program not only helps me gain clients, but it helps other artists or hair professionals as well.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We at Metro Micropigmentation are excited to introduce ourselves to you. Our team of experts specializes in Scalp Micropigmentation, a revolutionary hair loss solution that provides a natural-looking and permanent solution to hair loss. SMP is a hair loss technique, which has been around for over 15 years in the cosmetic tattoo industry.
SMP is sometimes called a hair tattoo which creates the illusion of hair follicles. The ink dots called impressions replicate each follicle blending hair loss sections. As a licensed cosmetic tattoo artist, I work closely with our clients to ensure their desired look is achieved and they are completely satisfied with the results. I offer touch-ups after procedure completion because let’s face it life happens.
Always using high-quality pigments and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure a long-lasting and natural-looking hairline. Scalp micropigmentation can help alopecia sufferers achieve a natural-looking hairline and will even conceal scarring. Also, pattern baldness can be concealed very easily in just two-three sessions. This solution to hair loss is for everyone, regardless of race or gender.
