Today we’d like to introduce you to Eulalia Janica.
Hi Eulalia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
In the summer of 2019, I was at a friend’s house and saw this unique piece. I loved it so much that I wanted to make something like it. That very weekend Spirit had a similar piece of driftwood float up in front of me and I knew it was a sign. I prepared the wood and began working on it. The energy flowed so easily. I felt as if I was in the energy of love. This might sound crazy but ever since that day pieces of wood call to me. I can see what they are to become.
Through the process of making wall art, I have also wanted to learn how to make dream catchers. My work began to expand to wood burning and carvings. Everything I make, I make with the energy of LOVE. I pride myself on creating unique one-of-a-kind art. No two are the same.
When I am commissioned to create one, I connect with the person who is to receive the piece. So far, I have no complaints. Just very happy clients. My business started to grow more through word of mouth. At first, I made them only for me. I never intended to make it into a business. But more and more people made special requests…I found myself loving what I do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Working with wood is interesting. It has a mind of its own. Thank goodness for Sanders! The unique textures and shapes sometimes don’t allow me to burn or carve. I learned to just work with the wood and not against it!
As for the threading on the dream catchers, the measurements don’t always apply. Especially when using uniquely shaped wood.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I come from a long line of Curanderas. Curanderas are healers that work with energy and plants. I am also a Reiki Master Healer/Teacher. I work with helping people heal deep inner child core trauma. The one thing I am most proud of is my healing. I practice self-healing in all aspects of my life.
I didn’t always love myself. I hated my life. That is not true today. The love I feel growing in me is nothing short of a miracle. What sets me apart from most is my ability to make people feel comfortable in their authentic selves. No masks are required!
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe the hardest thing I ever had to do was to leave everything I knew and everyone I loved, in my pursuit of inner understanding and healing.
Now I know I made the right decision. I prefer to fail, than say I don’t know; I did not even try. Life is too short to live in fear. Take that leap of faith! Hope is uncertainty. Faith is truth. I choose faith.
