Exploring Life & Business with Joshua Washington of The Joshua Mentality

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Washington.

Joshua Washington

Hi Joshua, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in one of the poorest towns in Florida (Immokalee). I moved up to Orlando in 2007 for college and struggled to become a successful young Black man. I experienced some tough lessons and nearly lost my life before discovering four core mentalities, transforming life from a mundane existence to bursting with flavor, expectation, and purpose!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles:
-FaithSuccess
-Leadership
-Wealth
-Identity/Value
-Clarity of direction

We’ve been impressed with The Joshua Mentality, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
My business promotes the God-given value within others by teaching the mentality of faith, success, wealth, and leadership. It’s about helping people develop a good and fulfilling life. We focus primarily on millennials. I’m mostly known for sharing wisdom on life and those who aspire to be an entrepreneur. The 4 core mentalities and other concepts we teach have a real knack for simplifying complex challenges, which inspires people to take action. Brainwise, I’m most proud that the two words best describe this brand are value and authenticity. I want readers to know there’s a better life for them, just bubbling and eagerly waiting for them to become aware of it. Greater financial and lifestyle freedom is closer than they think; monetizing the value already within them can and will happen if they lean in, and so much more. We offer an Activate Your Dreams workshop for those serious about achieving freedom of time and choice.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
There are too many to name, a few heavy hitters, though.

  • Jesus Christ (foundational)
  • Margaret Lee (grandmother)
  • Ramces Rouzard (rare friend)
  • Wife and Son
  • Pastors, coaches, teachers, counselors, etc., and many more

My network is one of my most valuable assets because they continuously grow, support, and hold me accountable.
