Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Hofstatter.
Hi Hannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Before becoming a home stager, I was an event planner for about two years. I worked for two companies and had a knack for efficiently bringing people’s visions to life efficiently. But eventually, I realized the event planning industry wasn’t for me. It only took a few weddings for me to realize this! I then took a break and narrowed down what I wanted to do and how I could best use my gifts and skills. My love of organization, efficiency, and all things aesthetic pointed me to something I had thought about for years. In my heart, I always knew I wanted to become a home stager, but I did not vibe with how other companies were doing it. A few months later, I met Laura through my mom’s friend. She is a broker and real estate instructor at Q Boutique Specialty Realty and needed an assistant and a social media manager. We clicked right away, and I was working with her a week later! It’s been almost a year working with her, and I can confidently say I am there for the long haul. In my year working with Laura, I have become a certified home stager and a notary public. In just one year, we’ve grown so much. It has been a dream come true working at Q Boutique, a woman-owned and woman-run company that is a powerhouse in the real estate industry. Now, my home staging dream is alive and running while being a part of an amazing team. This is something I am forever grateful for.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
To say it was a rough path getting to where I am now is an understatement. I struggled heavily in the event industry for many reasons. I wasn’t being paid well for my extensive and laborious work, nor was I getting paid as much as my male equals. I’m sure anyone can imagine how chaotic event planning can be (especially things as important as weddings). The bottom line, I was not where I was supposed to be, and I felt that heavily. But even though it was a difficult road, I still learned so much, and it has helped me thrive in the real estate industry.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I wear a few hats! I am the social media manager for Q Boutique Realty, an assistant, and a notary! On top of all of this, I am also a certified home staging expert. My favorite way to explain this is to use aesthetic strategy, Feng Shui principles, and creative organization to “set the stage” for people to fall in love with a home or space. So, I set up homes to reach my client’s goals (whether to sell a home or give a specific room a makeover) and cultivate balance and good energy in every space I work with. This is what sets me apart from other stagers and big staging companies.
Alright, before we go, can you talk to us a bit about how people can work, collaborate, or support you?
I love being a part of a team! To work with me, you don’t have to be buying or selling a home! I cater my packages to fit anyone’s needs. Whether they are an investor, Airbnb owners, empty nester’s looking to transform a room, or anyone with space that needs elevating to collaborate with me, there are a few options! Stagers can only do everything sometimes, so I need handymen/women to help me with a particular project. Events are still a strong suit of mine, so if you want to plan an info event with Q Boutique, I’d love to set it up! Supporting local businesses and small businesses is crucial to our communities. You can do this by simply interacting with them on social media and, better yet, refer us!
