Check Out The Avnu’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Avnu.

The Avnu

Hi, The Avnu; thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
Everyone has a story to tell; this is mine through music.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Hip Hop Artist from SWFL (Fort Myers, Lee County). I also co-manage a couple of artists in my area. I’ve been recording professionally for about 9 years now & what sets me apart from others is my voice; after that comes my natural creativity to make music. I’m big on using different sounds when it comes to production & flipping samples or reversing an original layout & creating another record from it, etc. When I’m in the studio, I’m open to anything. I’m not just a recording & performing artist; I also see myself as a producer. I’ll soon be tapping into that field of work & branching out with it, helping other artists build their albums, etc. My future goal will be to help artists blow faster from their hometowns.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Of course, I dropped out of high school after losing some scholarship offers & made the risky decision to chase music as a career because I have such a massive passion for it. It’s a risk because it’s not guaranteed to make us enough money monthly & annually to take care of ourselves & live the lives we aspire to. At the same time, it can be because the opportunities are there. It’s just a matter of how you get there, whether it be who you know or what risks you take to get the attention you need to land a big deal or an opportunity for one. Nonetheless, this is what I love to do; no amount of money could change that, but it can make it more enjoyable!
