Today, we’d like to introduce you to Tori Helene. Tori was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Durell Peart.
Hi Tori, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hi! I started my journey at the age of 7/8 when I went to my first concert which was destiny’s child . I fell in love with how they performed, their music and it made me really want to be an entertainer. I started writing songs and singing in my room which turned into me singing for church choir, school choir and local talent shows. When I turned 14, I met a friend named Johnny B that was a rapper who had a studio and I would go there to hang out and record music. Thats where I learned the whole recording process and became comfortable with my voice. Once I went to college, I told myself that after I graduate, I will give my all to music and make this a career and that’s what I did!
Please talk to us about your creative work and career. What should we know?
So I released my first single “Make ya” back in 2017 which was a fun upbeat pop record that I worked on with my long time producer,Natown. That was our first song that we worked on and I had to release it! . I also released my first EP “Delusional” back in 2019. Back then, I was in a dark r&b emo era. It showed a lot of my dark feelings regarding relationships, friendships and life in general. Then, I released my second EP “Moonchild” in 2021. I loved this EP so much because it showed more of my softer and vulnerable side. It also was more of a representation of my zodiac sign Cancer. Our nickname is Moonchild lol. And now recently I released my latest EP “Sweet & Sour” this past October. This is my favorite project so far because I feel that I finally figured out and captured my sound . It really shows my growth. It’s been a wild journey so far and I’m enjoying it. You can find my music on any music platform under Tori helene. So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Durell Peart and Double N Management & Marketing Group and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Double N Management & Marketing Group.
Durell and I met over the Internet back in 2016. He was introduced to me by a friend and we connected over Facebook to talk about helping me develop as an artist. He’s always been there for me by educating me on the music business, giving me advice and guiding me on what to do next with my career. We live in different cities but he’s been there for me when I’ve visited Atlanta for shows and events and he’s always a call away whenever I need help. He’s definitely like a big brother to me and I’m very grateful for him being in my life!
