Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Jen, Founder & Head Floral Designer of JF Events & Flowers. I was born and raised in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Call Orlando home for almost two decades now. I am the firstborn and oldest girl of 3 children. I’m a born leader and organizer, raised with a strong work ethic and family values. I currently divide my time between weddings and my beautiful family. From an early age, I have a calling for weddings and events that has blossomed into a passion. My start in wedding floral and event design began with my wedding. This is the perfect opportunity to combine my background in business with my creativity. That is how JF Events & Flowers was born. I and my trusted team of floral artists have thoughtfully designed every piece of floral art at our weddings and special events. You take a piece of our hearts with you beyond every floral arrangement.
Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes, it has been a smooth road toward this dream, but at the same time, this has come with a lot of hard work. I have a lot of support from my family, which impacts all the details of JF Events & Flowers. At the beginning of the journey, we did have a few tasks that we had to tackle more than others, like the daunting task of building a reputable brand while establishing trust with clients in this competitive industry. Balancing creativity with budget constraints is a constant challenge, as clients often have high expectations for stunning floral arrangements within limited financial parameters. Additionally, managing logistics such as delivery timelines, installation at various venues, and coordinating with other event vendors requires meticulous planning and execution. At the same time, we must stay on top of trends, maintain a diverse portfolio, and cultivate strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.

We manage the procurement of blooms, ensuring freshness and quality, and handle all aspects of floral preparation, including conditioning and arranging. On the event day, the florist oversees the delivery, setup, and installation of the floral designs at the venue, ensuring everything looks perfect for the occasion.
