Hi Mesha, can you introduce yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Hello. I’m Mesha Gunter, and I have lived in Central Florida for over 20 years. I graduated from Rollins College, Winter Park, with an undergraduate degree in Organizational Behavior and Webster University with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Working in corporate America has fueled my desire to become an entrepreneur in two separate industries: travel and real estate.
With that, my journey as a travel entrepreneur has been incredible! I’ve been a travel advisor and planner for as long as I can remember, known for my impeccable organizational skills, which made me the go-to person for family vacations and events. This passion evolved into an official travel business in 2017, where we plan and book travel and empower others to become travel agents themselves. Our fantastic team of travel professionals and vendors is dedicated to providing top-notch training and assistance.
Did you know I hold a Ph.D. in Norwegian Cruiselines? That’s right, call me Dr. Gunter! I’ve also earned training certificates from cruise lines like Virgin Voyages, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean. Travel isn’t just a job; it’s my life’s passion. Beyond planning, I organize annual group trips, making vacations accessible to solo travelers. Last year, our group explored Dubai, Egypt, and Jordan, visiting wonders like the Great Sphinx and Petra. Looking ahead to 2024, our exciting group trips include Greece and Bali, promising unforgettable experiences. In 2020, as I prepared for my wedding and the search for a new home, I thought, “Why not become a real estate agent?” So I did. Not only did I purchase my second home, but I also utilized the commissions to furnish it. Today, as a Realtor, I offer credit repair services to support homebuyers in qualifying for mortgages. Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In my first year as a travel agent, I struggled with marketing and professionally getting my name out there. In my second year of travel, I successfully booked a group trip with 30+ people on a Mediterranean Cruise. During the pandemic years 2020-2021, sales were at a standstill, but I’m pleased that people are traveling again. Social media and client referrals have been instrumental in getting new clients and having repeat customers.
