@tata.oro is the personal brand of Tatiana Orozco, a Colombian woman specializing in curls; she is a creator of hair care products and potential content, an innate entrepreneur, and a lover of innovation. She is an immigrant living in Orlando, where she is doing a hair tour through several cities in the United States, helping other women undertake the fine art of beauty.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Arriving in the United States has been a big challenge for my life. My life has changed radically, and I was forced to open my mind and my vision and gain internal strength not to let myself collapse. I know that many immigrants understand my process, but I am proud to be able to start again from scratch and develop my skills in this country, which I appreciate so much. Now, I see this path as a great adventure.

I have been known for encouraging women to wear their natural curly hair with pride and learn to stylize and care for it since this society has minimized us for many years being Curly Afro Curly. I am also known for my process, where I got divorced and decided to let go and radically separate myself from a toxic relationship that was destroying my emotional area. I have been criticized, but I have also been able to witness that God makes everything new.
