Check Out Genesis Ventura’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Genesis Ventura

Hi Genesis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been passionate about women’s health and wellbeing. I started ultrasound school as a gateway for my journey to become an OB/GYN, but fell in love with the sonography aspect of it way more. Now, I have dreams of opening my own ultrasound business, but more catered towards mothers’ wellbeing and self care. I started learning to do nails on the side and currently love it a lot as well, and am trying to find a way to combine the best of both worlds together.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ultrasound school can be a beast in itself, but my schooling happened to fall right in the peak of the COVID pandemic. Trying to juggle church, school, work, clinicals in a hospital where infection rates were high and trying to keep my family safe were not easy tasks. I placed my trust in God and while He made it all possible, it had not been easy at all. My passion and drive for getting to where I am now has made it all so worth it!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I try to keep my craft and skills current and catered towards today’s mothers and women in general. With every ultrasound exam I do my best to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable, no matter what their diagnosis or circumstances. I also use my skills in nails to bring my client’s story to life, I want their manicures to speak for them. All in all, I strive to make my business a faith-based, fun and exciting atmosphere for all my sisters-from-other-misters to enjoy!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success isn’t define by how high someone’s net worth is or how many years their business has been open. Success comes from the willingness to fail as many times as it takes, but learning what you can from each trial. And it’s not always about failing to learn-it’s your attitude when you do fail that determines your ability to succeed.
