Check Out Meredith Kasheta’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meredith Kasheta.

Meredith Kasheta

Hi Meredith, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started The MMC Agency about six years ago, after working for a consulting firm for ten years. I was ready for a change and really wanted to expand the ways in which I could partner with clients. The MMC was initially focused on copywriting and grew from there. Now, as a full-service marketing agency, we love helping our clients develop brands that build communities and make an impact in people’s lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No! Ha ha – I don’t know any entrepreneurs who say their journey has been smooth sailing. But struggles aren’t bad. I remember a mentor telling me you’ll never get rid of your challenges (in fact, they’ll probably get bigger), but you’ll get better at handling them. And that is so true!

My first big challenge was when we had a smaller team and would lose someone critical – whether for a week due to illness or another opportunity entirely. I had some sleepless nights because I never wanted to disappoint our clients or not deliver projects on time. But today, I’ve been there and done that, and we have grown and changed as a team multiple times. What was once a huge challenge has become something we now know how to handle while honoring our team AND clients!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
That’s a hard one because I’m proud of our team, the quality of our work AND our clients! When we say that we work with clients who build communities that impact people’s lives, it’s true – and that is so exciting!

For example, we have worked with a global developer who came to us to create a professional brand and website so they could launch a new initiative that is redefining communities throughout the United States. We’ve also worked with a small local museum that is keeping history alive and bringing people together to learn from it.

Whether creating or refreshing foundational brand identity, building a robust website, or executing marketing strategies, our agency allows our clients to do what they do best, which is truly an honor (and a ton of fun)!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
That’s a tough one – what you see is pretty much what you get! I’d say personally, I am often moved and inspired by things around me. From the trees to animals to people being wildly kind, I love the beauty in the world and can easily get lost in it!
