Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Chavez.

Ricardo Chavez

Hi Ricardo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My Altamonte Springs location was established in 2014 honored to say it has been 10 years in business. My Ucf location I opened it up in 2019 5yrs and it has been very successful. My UCF location is literally in the heart of UCF. We are the only Barbershop on campus. And we have been servicing all of Ucf faculty and staff for five years. My Apopka location has only been open for about a year now and is doing great. I am blessed to say that all three of the locations are fully staffed and always taking appointments and taking care of a walk-in. I started as a regular barber, just looking to build clientele but I stayed committed to the craft of barbering and has blessed me to being able to do more than just cut hair. I have had the opportunity to open up businesses and create opportunity for myself and others.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a struggle. Nothing about entrepreneurship is smooth unlike the perception of social media. This truly takes hard work and grind and understanding to keep your vision as clear as possible you might sound crazy to others but it’s your dreams so go big.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Revamp Barbershop?
Revamp Barbershop, where you come in as you are, but you leave a better version of yourself. Revamp Barbershop is known for servicing the community and providing outstanding quality haircuts. Difference between us and the rest is that we stayed committed and we’ve been our unique selves We understand trends are cool but they come in and they go. When you come to Revamp Barbershop, we’re gonna make you feel like you’ve been coming here for years you’re a part of the gang

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The barbering industry has definitely had some highs and some Lowe’s. But the Barbershop is one of the last things that has actual contact with people and Barber need to continue to harvest the relationships we have with.
