Lissette Velazquez

Lissette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My husband & I started this business since December 2023. We enjoyed having luxury items but the cost of it is very overwhelming. I always had an interest in owning a business. I actually started off by making floral arrangements, edible arrangements & gift baskets in May 2020, back in my hometown, Toms River, NJ. We received a lot of support since COVID shut down a lot of services at the time. Mother’s Day was the first holiday we did. Throughout time, we started getting requests in which a customer wanted to incorporate a luxury item in their gift basket. I posted the result online & received a lot of great feedback. This is where I acknowledge the luxury industry. My husband & I took time to research about the luxury industry & what we can provide. I noticed reselling is an actual industry that occurs within these grounds. So, we took part of it. We wanted to be the source for our clients to have easy transactions. Knowingly that we have luxury establishments near us & as well back home, we know we can be that point of contact. Not everyone have the accessibility to it as well not everyone could pull the trigger on such high prices. Although, online shopping can be great but also stressful because online pictures don’t do justice as in person do. We take the step to doing the drive for you, find you the deals and examine the item itself for you. We will provide all the details for you to be satisfied with your purchase. Of course, being a military family, we had to re-establish in Jacksonville, FL. It is currently where we are located and looking to expand. The enormous support we received has been pushing us to do a lot more. We started off with just a few pieces and now we got a collection that is growing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Investment is definitely a huge factor in this business. We have to guarantee ourselves that our finances won’t be hitting a bump on the road. We have to acknowledge that an item can sell in just a few days or it can take months. We also had to acknowledge third party websites that can take percentage of fees. This is where we get to discover what brands/items are worthwhile. We also had to deal with my medical conditions. Although, I would not disclose my conditions for my privacy, it was very a long journey to overcome. Especially with rounds of treatments that kept holding us back.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
